Eliana Cardeno, Director

After a few years traveling and working through Asia, Eliana Cardeno, has rejoined The1555396_10100265985235479_1145358295_n Hartford Consortium for Higher Education as Director of Jr. Apprentice. Her work in nonprofit management has been focused on providing resources and mentorship to rural and inner-city communities in Hartford County. Her work as a public health professional and educator started after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Hartford and Master’s Degree in Biomolecular Sciences from Central CT State University. Although her work, personal and educational experiences have spanned across many different sectors, her passion has always been serving and progressing underrepresented communities through education and advocacy.

Lauren A. Silverstein, Founder

From the time she got her first business suit in 7th grade, Lauren was excited about the world of work. While her career has spanned across several sectors, including community partnership development, college & career advising, and higher education LSilverstein.headshotteaching & administration, a common purpose has been present in each: to promote educational equity, opportunity and success. It is this purpose that continues to energize her.

Lauren received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, her M.Ed from Harvard University and her BA from Vassar College.
