Our 2016-2017 Jr. Apprentices are selected and classes have begun!

Our 2016-2017 Jr. Apprentice cohort has been selected. We met so many amazing and talented high school students at both Bulkeley High School and Pathways Academy of Technology and Design. The selected students represent a diverse range of backgrounds and interests. Our student blog has returned where you can learn more about our students, and our career-readiness curriculum. Congratulations to the newest Jr. Apprentices!

Hartford Professionals lead mock interviews to help Apprentices experience the “real deal”

On Tuesday, December 15th, industry leaders and community partners from Hartford facilitated ‘mock interviews’ for our Jr. Apprentices. These interviews allow our students to put into practice all of the skills learned during the career-readiness class, and prepare for their upcoming Apprenticeship interviews in January.

Jr. Apprentice kicks off the 2015-2016 year!

On October 29, 2015, Jr. Apprentice supporters came together to celebrate our recently selected students, their families, and our professional-mentors. Attendees were welcomed by Principal Greene and Director, Eliana Cardeno; and had an opportunity to hear about why students applied to the program, and to our guest speaker and entrepreneur, Bill Kenney.

Congrats to our 2015 Jr. Apprentices!

On May 19, the Jr. Apprentice program of the Hartford Consortium for Higher Education celebrated its second graduating class. The Bulkeley High School Jr. Apprentices were honored in a ceremony attended by their business mentors, families and teachers.
