Become a Professional-Mentor

Whose shoulders did you stand on? Who will stand on yours?

Directly touch the life of a local high school student as a Professional-Mentor. You will also be supporting a larger movement to develop our next generation and workforce.

Professional-mentors must work in the Hartford area and commit to hosting a Jr. Apprentice for 3-6 hours a week from February – April. You will receive guidance in developing an apprenticeship project and objectives as well as ongoing mentorship training and workshops.

Jr. Apprentice pays the teens for each hour of work.

“The Jr. Apprentice program opens doors into the future for the students. Mentors shape students’ interests and skill sets and the students bring a fresh perspective to the jobs we do every day.  I’ve sat where the students are, and it’s my hope that one day these teens will be able to teach and encourage a young student to dream big.” –Nicole F., 2014 Jr. Apprentice mentor
